- RF - Radio Frequency.
- Marconi didn't discover radio waves, but invented a system for transmitting/receiving signals.
- Hertz - is a measure of frequency. Radio waves are created by pushing electricity up an antenna. Named after Heinrich Hertz, who first detected electromagnetic waves.
- Radio also travels through the vacuum of space. That's how satellites work.

- GigaHertz (GHz) - billion hertz.
- ISM - Industrial Scientific Medical radio band (2.4 GHz).
