NOTES:
- File System: acts as a table of contents so your data can be located. Examples of file systems are FAT and NTFS for Microsoft Windows operating systems. FAT stands for File Allocation Table. And NTFS stands for New Technology File System. With WinFS, FS stands for Future Storage, which is why it's not available today. Linux has serveral options, including XFS, ReiserFS, Ext2, and Ext3. Apple's operating systems use HFS.
- Once you delete a file, the computer may write over that space on the disk with new data.
- The best time to try to undelete (or recover) files is immediately after deleting them!
